About Me
I’m a trained psychologist with over 10 years of experience.
I came to this profession driven by a desire to help people. During a life-changing trip to Asia in my teens, I saw the urgent need for mental health services, as well as the cultural taboo around it. It became my dream to eliminate the stigma around mental health and make therapy more accessible to people of Asian descent — and to put my fluency in Vietnamese to good use in helping these communities.
As a young adult, I also dreamed of working with Doctors Without Borders. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and then my doctorate in clinical psychology, so I could join the mission and provide care to people in need. I kept that spirit of service going in my early career by offering pro bono and sliding scale work. Throughout my training, I also worked extensively with children, youths, and adults at the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center, Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital-Trauma Unit, and DFW Psychological and Consultation Services.
I’d be honored to join you on your journey to better mental health. Get in touch to explore the possibilities for your care.
